Over 500 were in attendance for the first two town hall meetings! There was great dialogue between the committee members, retirement system directors and attendees. Thank you to all that attended. APERS members were very well represented. Quick summary:
- Currently, there are no changes being proposed.
- The committee chairs promised no surprises going forward.
- The suggestion to add more active and retired state employees to the APERS board was brought up twice.
The next meetings will be Tuesday, September 24th in Bentonville and Wednesday, September 25th in Fort Smith. We will get you more information on those meetings shortly. If you have questions or would like to hear more about the first two meetings, please give me a call or email me.
