SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
Send words of encouragement and support to your fellow state employees who are on the front lines.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
ASEA wants to share your story. What is it like to be on the front lines during this time of crisis? How has your life changed? It could help us as we lobby for state employees.
WHAT DOES THE FACE OF A COVID-19 FRONTLINE WORKER LOOK LIKE?
Send us your COVID-19 selfie. We want to publish them in our next newsletter.
Send any of the above in as much detail as possible to our Executive Director, John Bridges: jbridges@aseaar.org. And you can request to be anonymous if you wish, just let him know.

Retirement Town Hall Meeting Recap

Over 500 were in attendance for the first two town hall meetings! There was great dialogue between the committee members, retirement system directors and attendees. Thank you to all that attended. APERS members were very well represented. Quick summary:

  • Currently, there are no changes being proposed.
  • The committee chairs promised no surprises going forward.
  • The suggestion to add more active and retired state employees to the APERS board was brought up twice.

The next meetings will be Tuesday, September 24th in Bentonville and Wednesday, September 25th in Fort Smith. We will get you more information on those meetings shortly. If you have questions or would like to hear more about the first two meetings, please give me a call or email me.
